Each project is seen as part of a holistic people-centered development program. In this model all projects and programs are seen as inter-connected with over-lapping elements centered on the needs and resources of the people they serve.
For each project there is a thrust area, broadly defined as either education, health, communities, livelihoods, environment or gender which serves as an overall focus and entry point while remaining integrated with all aspects of development.

Introduction
The Spirituality in Ruzizi Valley Development project (SRVD)
is aimed at developing a methodology for integrating the spirituality of
participating communities in the process of holistic sustainable development.
Through an action research framework, the project will assess the role of inner
growth and spirituality in three ways:
